Nsfas Status Check Portal 2023-2024: After you have successfully applied for the NSFAS Loan, your application will be examined before being approved, and after it has been, you will be able to find out the status of your NSFAS loan. You must first enter your Nsfas account on the Nsfas website via the student portal in order to verify your Nsfas status. To see the status of your application, select Track Funding Progress after entering your username and password to sign in. Kindly follow the simple steps below to check your Nsfas status.
How To View/Check Nsfas Online Application Status
To check your NSFAS application status:
- Log into your myNSFAS account portal.
- Enter your ID or username and password.
- Click the SIGN IN! button.
- Once you log into your account dashboard, click on Track Funding Progress to check your application status.
Required Supporting Documents To Create NSFAS Account.
To complete your NSFAS Bursary Online Application for 2023-2024, you must have the following information:
- You must have a phone number and an email address of your own.
- A copy of your ID or birth certificate is required.
- You should also provide copies of your parents’, guardians’, or spouse’s identification cards.
- 1 year’s worth of IRP5 or proof of income (if applicable,)
- Proof of income from your parents, guardians, or spouse
- SASSA grant beneficiaries are not required to show proof of income.
- All disabled applicants must present a completed and signed Disability Annexure. A Document

How To Create MyNSFAS Account
- Go to www.nsfas.org.za and click on “myNsfas account“.
- Enter your username and password. The username is usually your email address.
- Click on the “My personal details” tab.
- Update your cellphone number and/or email address to your current one.
- Click “Update your details” to proceed.
- A Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to the new number and email address that you have provided.
- Enter the OTP and click submit.
- Your details will immediately be updated.
If you’re an applicant with an existing account, you can sign in using your usernames and password or Facebook and Google accounts.
