My Nsfas My Account 2023-2024: All applicants who wish to receive an NSFAS bursary must, therefore, apply by creating an NSFAS account and logging into Mynsfas. Remember that your phone number and email address must be personal information to you and cannot be shared. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme online application for the 2024-2025 academic year will open on 1 September and close on 30 November 2024. Please follow the instructions below to create an NSFAS account.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS NEEDED WHEN CREATING MY NSFAS ACCOUNT

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will require more information from you to process your application, so you need to provide the following supporting documents to ensure your application is successful.

1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
8. An applicant known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

How To Create Mynsfas Account

1. Visit www.nsfas.org.za login.
2. Click the MyNSFAS tab.
3. Click register.
4. Tick the box to allow NSFAS to verify your details.
5. Then capture the ID number as stated on your ID document.
6. Type in your full name and surname as per your ID number.
7. Type in your current email address.
8. Confirm your email address.
9. Type in your cellphone number.
10. Create a password.
11. Confirm password.
12. Upload ID Copy.
13. Click register.
14. You will be sent an OTP to the email and cell number provided (this OTP expires after 24 hours).
15. Type in the OTP and click Submit.
16. You have now completed your NSFAS account re-registration.

How To Log Into Your NSFAS Account After Creating

You will need your MyNSFAS Email and password to check your status online. Now with your internet-connected smartphone or computer, Open your web browser.

• Step 1: Visit the MyNSFAS student portal via-www nsfas.org.za
• Step 2: Enter your Email and Password in the field provided.
• Step 3: Finally, click on the Sign-In button to access your application status

How to make changes to your National Student Financial Aid Scheme account:

• Please visit nsfas.org.za and log in.
• Please enter your username and password (under the ‘already registered’ option) to continue.
• Click the ‘sign in’ button.
• Please go to ‘My Personal Details’ and change the inaccurate cell phone number with the right one (the same can be done with other incorrect information)

How to Reset the Password

1. Clicking on the “forgot your password” tab and enter your ID number
2. Choose whether you have forgotten your username and password and click “Submit“
3. You will receive an OTP via email and SMS
4. Type in the OTP you received and click “Submit“
5. You will then be required to create a new password.

My Nsfas Profile 2023-2024: Students who are receiving financial aid through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme must create a My Nsfas profile to be able to access and manage their MyNSFAS accounts by signing in. Are you having problems with your NSFAS User profile? Are you trying to log into your MyNSFAS account and keep getting the notification that your NSFAS profile does not exist? If you are unable to log into your MyNSFAS account because it says your MyNSFAS profile does not exist, it means the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is saying you should re-register your NSFAS account. Register online as a user on myNSFAS or re-register a myNSFAS account

Why Is My NSFAS User Profile Locked?

Your NSFAS User Profile is locked because you entered the wrong username or password three times. When you type in the wrong password or username three (3) consecutive times because you want to log into your NSFAS User Profile account and access the information in it, your account will be blocked.

What Happens When Your NSFAS User Profile Is Locked?

You cannot log into your NSFAS account when your profile is locked. To be able to log into your account and access the information in it, you will need to reset your NSFAS password.
