What To Do When You Forgot Your NSFAS Password?

You’ll have to reset your NSFAS password when you forget your MyNSFAS account password. When you try to login into your MyNSFAS account and enter the wrong password for 3 counts, your NSFAS account will be blocked.

How Long Does NSFAS Take To Reset Password?

Approximately, it will take 5 minutes to reset your MyNSFAS portal password. In fact, the process involved in resetting your MyNSFAS password is simple and faster as long as you have your ID number and cell phone number on you for the procedure.

How To Reset My Nsfas Forgot Password

Go to www.nsfas.org.za

  1. Click myNSFAS account
  2. Click ‘forgot password
  3. Type in your ID number
  4. Choose one of the following options:
    • I can’t remember my username
    • I can’t remember my password
    • I can’t remember my username and password
  5. Choose the relevant option
  6. Click ‘submit’
  7. A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to you via SMS and email to the cellphone number and email you provided
  8. Check your cellphone or email for the OTP. This OTP is only valid for 24 hours
  9. Type the OTP number in the provided block
  10. Click ‘submit’
  11. A link to reset your login details will be sent to you via email and SMS
  12. Click on the link that was received through SMS or email
  13. Follow the reset process
  14. Create a new password by following the instruction on the screen
  15. Click ‘submit’

And you’re done. You should now have a new password set.
