How To Unblock Your NSFAS Wallet By Cell Phone

1. Dial *120*176#
2. Chose “Unlock with OTP”
3. You’ll receive a One Time Pin (OTP) through SMS on your phone
4. Enter the OTP number given to you
5. You’ll receive a notification stating that your wallet is unlocked.

You have successfully unlocked your NSFAS wallet through your cell phone.

NOTE: You will need to have a MyNSFAS Account along with an NSFAS wallet before you can go through the process to unlock your NSFAS wallet.

How to unblock NSFAS Wallet Through Email:

Send an email to unlock@nsfas.org.za. Provide the following information in your email:

• Your ID Number and ID copy
• Your full name and surname
• Your cellphone number and email address
• Your physical and or postal address
• Description of your query

NSFAS uses the MYNSFAS student Portal to show updates on your application status. This is an easy way and guide to help you track your application. All you need is to remember your username and password, which you had registered with.

How To Track Your Nsfas Online Application Status

To check your NSFAS application status:

1. Log into your myNSFAS account portal.
2. Enter your ID or username and password.
3. Click the SIGN IN! button.
4. Once you log into your account dashboard, click on Track Funding Progress to check your application status.

There are a number of results you might receive when checking your NSFAS application. Here are what you could receive and what they mean:

• Signing Of Agreement: At this stage, you need to sign your bursary agreement so that NSFAS can disburse your allowances.
• Payments: Your allowances are now being paid either through the NSFAS mobile wallet system or through your institution. Students are advised to continue to monitor the myNSFAS portal for updates.
