The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has opened applications for NSFAS Trimester for all TVET College students who seek to get financial support from NSFAS. •  You must have a phone number and an email address of your own.
• A copy of your ID or birth certificate is required.
•  You should also provide copies of your parents’, guardians’, or spouse’s identification cards.
• 1 year’s worth of IRP5 or proof of income (if applicable,)
• Proof of income from your parents, guardians, or spouse
•  SASSA grant beneficiaries are not required to show proof of income.
•  All disabled applicants must present a completed and signed Disability Annexure. A Document

1. Log into your myNSFAS account portal.
2. Enter your ID or username and password.
3. Click the SIGN IN! button.

Nsfas Online Application Date 2023-2024: Starting from September 1 through to November 30, 2023, students who choose to apply for financing through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) can do so. Only when the NSFAS website’s application submission is open may you start the application procedure. Prospective students who are applying for the first time to study at any of the higher education public universities and TVET Colleges can apply for the NSFAS 2023 application. Also, continuing students whose previous applications for NSFAS funding were unsuccessful can apply during the NSFAS opening date for 2023 opening date. Therefore, it’s crucial for all students interested in submitting an NSFAS application for financial aid for the 2024 academic year to be aware of the deadline.

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will require more information from you to process your application, so you need to provide the following supporting documents to ensure your application is successful.

1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
8. An applicant who is known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.
