UCT Registration Dates 2023-2024

29 January 2023	Residences are open for all new students.
31 January 2023	Science Faculty orientation and registration commences
2 February 2023	Compulsory orientation activities & registration for all new students
14 February 2023	First day of lectures

How to register for undergraduate and Postgraduate at the University of Cape Town (UCT)

The Online registration steps :

Step 1: Go to https://uct.ac.za/students/current-students/registration
Step 2: University of Cape Town Registration is done at the various faculties. Click on any faculty of your choice.
Step 3: Kindly follow the registration process
Step 4: Click on register and you are done.

Important note

All students must register in the appropriate period indicated above and not wait until returning to Cape Town. Students who register late may face a late registration penalty of R2000.

For international students, clearance (i.e. visa, medical aid and fee checks) will also be done remotely.

Students with outstanding fees

You won’t be able to register until your fee account is settled. Please be aware that South African students can enrol without making the initial deposit. Before registering, all international students must pay.

How to Apply UCT Online 2023-2024: The University of Cape Town (UCT) has opened its online Application for Applicants to apply Online. The steps needed for you to apply Online have been carefully documented in this article.

UCT Online Application 202-2024 Date

Application for study admission opens on 1 April 2023 and closes on 31 July 2023. Prospective applicants can only submit applications from the date the application will be opened. Applicants must submit their application for enrollment before the application deadline.

How to Apply UCT Online Application

You will need the following in order to complete the University of Cape Town Online Application:

A working email address
your South African identity number
If you are an international applicant, your passport number

How To Apply University of Cape Town (UCT) Online Application

Go to – https://applyonline.uct.ac.za/
Proof of payment of your registration fee(compulsory for SA and International applicants)
Certified copy of your ID document(ID document compulsory for SA citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants
Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
Remember you will need a unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy.

If you are unable to apply online, you may submit a paper application by printing the forms from the links below and sending them to the Admissions Office at the address indicated on the right.

Eligibility Requirements:

18 years of age
In good standing at your home school

3.0 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale (GPAs under 3.0 will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will require additional documents outlined in a section below)
Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing when the program begins. Applicants need to have at least three semesters of coursework when they enrol at the UCT (first-semester sophomores can apply).
