Nsfas Application Form Closing Date 2023-2024

Nsfas Application Form Closing Date 2023-2024: All applicants wanting to apply for NSFAS should visit the NSFAS website www.nsfas.org.za and download the application to apply. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme(NSFAS) online application form for the 2024-2025 academic year will be opening on 2 November and will be closing on 21 January 2024. There will be no late application for NSFAS Funding in 2024 so applicants are advised to submit their online application on time before the deadline. Kindly make sure you provide the requirements needed for your application to be successful. Please read through this article to download the application form and know how you go about it.

How To Fill NSFAS Online Application Form

  1. Go to www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Create a MyNSFAS Account
  3. Login into your Account
  4. Click on the Apply
  5. Complete the forms by filling in all the sections

Remember not to skip a section when filling out your NSFAS online application forms if you want your application to be approved for funding.

Required Documents For Filling NSFAS Online Application

Before you can fill out your NSFAS application form online, you’ll need the documents below.

  1. A cell phone number
  2. An email address
  3. Certified copies of your Identification Documents (ID)
  4. You should have applied for a public institution and waiting for admission acceptance
  5. Certified or official copy of recent payslip, employment letter, not older than three months
  6. Prove household income (this includes SASSA grants, Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), or retirement, disability, or other financial benefits you get.)
  7. Copy of parents/guardian/spouse/ Identification documents (if applicable)
  8. If you’re disability, you’ll complete a disability Annexure A and B and submit them

  1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab

Nsfas Online Application Dates 2023-2024

Nsfas Online Application Dates 2023-2024: The application deadline for the NSFAS bursary as well as the time the bursary portal will close has both been set. The NSFAS Application will be available starting on November 2 and closing on January 21, 2024. On the same day at 11:59 PM, the NSFAS Bursary Application Portal is expected to shut down. it is expected for the applicants to apply before closing time. To avoid having their application rejected, applicants must submit their application form on time and include all the necessary documents needed during the application process

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will require more information from you to process your application, so you need to provide the following supporting documents to ensure your application is successful.

  1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

Who Qualifies for NSFAS Funding?

  • All South African citizens
  • All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  • Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
  • A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  • Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
