The Undergraduate prospectus is usually in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or a Microsoft Word format. Kindly check below for the steps to view and download the University of Cape Town 2023/2024 Undergraduate prospectus.

How To Apply UCT Online Application 

You will need the following in order to complete the University of Cape Town Online Application:

  • A working email address
  • your South African identity number
  • If you are an international applicant, your passport number

Steps needed for Applying Online

  • Go to – https://applyonline.uct.ac.za/
  • Proof of payment of your registration fee(compulsory for SA and International applicants)
    Certified copy of your ID document(ID document compulsory for SA citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants
  • Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
  • Remember you will need a unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy.

If you are unable to apply online, you may submit a paper application by printing the forms from the links below and sending them to the Admissions Office at the address indicated on the right.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • In good standing at your home school
  • 3.0 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale (GPAs under 3.0 will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will require additional documents outlined in a section below)
  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing when the program begins. Applicants need to have at least three semesters of coursework when they enrol at the UCT (first-semester sophomores can apply).  Some local university courses may not be available to students of Sophomore standing.
