Unisa Nsfas Application 2023-2024: Do you need financial support for your tertiary institution, Apply for National Student Financial Aid Scheme(NSFAS) Bursary. NSFAS is a government student financial aid scheme that is given to poor undergraduate students in South Africa to assist them to pay for the cost of their tertiary education. The Unisa Nsfas application cycle is estimated to open on 1 September and close on November 30, 2022. All Unisa students who want to apply for the NSFAS must submit their application through the NSFAS website before the application closing date. Kindly follow the steps below.

 

Documents Needed During My Nsfas Registration Process

1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
8. An applicant who is known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

 

How to apply for UNISA nsfas online application

1. Visit the NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za online
2. Then, you have to click on the “myNSFAS” tab
3. After that, you create your myNSFAS account
4. After creating myNSFAS account, you then have to click on the “Apply” tab
5. Answer the following questions you see on your screen
6. Update all your personal information
7. Upload all the required supporting documents
8. Lastly, Click on “Submit” to send your application for review.

 

Your NSFAS Application Will Not Be Considered If You

• already had NSFAS funding in 2023.
• have already completed an undergraduate degree/diploma.
• are not South African citizens.
• need funding for a short learning certificate or program.
• need funding for a postgraduate qualification, with an exception of the following qualifications:
  • BTech – Architecture / Architectural Technology
  • BTech – Engineering (all disciplines), Cartography, Forestry
  • BTech – Biokinetics, Biomedical Technology, Biotechnology
  • BTech – Chiropractic, Homoeopathy, all Nursing
  • BTech – Clinical or Dental Technology, Emergency Medical Care
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting
  • LLB
