The deadline for applications for the R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant is March 2019. One of the most common ways to submit an SRD grant application is online.
The South African government introduced the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) award, sometimes known as the R350 grant, as a new Sassa grant in response to Covid-19 and its repercussions on the economy.
Applicants must make sure they meet the requirements before applying:

citizens, permanent residents, asylum seekers, refugees, and holders of special permits from South Africa

Unemployed
-
have no other means of assistance for your finances or a backup income source.

between 18 and 60 years old\
-
No other social funds, UIF, or NSFAS are received.
To apply for an R350 Grant Online in 2023-2024,

Go to the SRD website and click the yellow bar next to “How do I apply for this SRD Grant” to start the application process.

Submit your cellphone number.

Enter the one-time pin Sassa has issued to the phone after clicking “send sms” to send an SMS.

By completing the Sassa-required procedures, continue the application process.
You can also use WhatsApp to submit R350 grant applications by dialing:

Send a message to this number on Whatsapp.

In the WhatsApp message, make sure to mention your name, last name, and ID number.

Given that SASSA will be engaging with other institutions to verify the information supplied by applicants, all applicants will need to sign a statement and consent form.
You just need to submit an application once on one channel and not often across all channels. Only one application per applicant will be processed by Sassa. Once applications have been processed, SASSA will get in touch with the selected candidates.
