When the NSFAS system signals that a wrong username or password has been entered into your account with the aim to log in and access the information in it, the system will automatically lock your account. NSFAS will lock your account when it sees that the login details trying to access the account are different from the ones stored in the system.

How To Unblocked Your NSFAS Account

Go to www.nsfas.org.za

Click myNSFAS account
Click ‘forgot password
Type in your ID number
Choose one of the following options:
- I can’t remember my username
- I can’t remember my password
- I can’t remember my username and password
Choose the relevant option
Click ‘submit’
A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to you via SMS and email to the cellphone number and email you provided
Check your cellphone or email for the OTP. This OTP is only valid for 24 hours
Type the OTP number in the provided block
Click ‘submit’
A link to reset your login details will be sent to you via email and SMS
Click on the link that was received through SMS or email
Follow the reset process
Create a new password by following the instruction on the screen
Click ‘submit’
