Eligibility Criteria:

Unemployed individuals who are 18 to 59 years old

Not receiving any form of income, social grant or UIF payment

Not receiving any other COVID-19 relief scheme payment

Must be a South African citizen, permanent resident or a refugee living in South Africa

Have a valid SA ID or refugee ID
Application Process:

Initially, applications could only be made online through the SRD (Social Relief of Distress) portal. Applicants needed to provide their personal details, banking information, and proof of unemployment.
