Required Documents For Nsfas Online Application 2023-2024: Are you trying to reapply for NSFAS and do you want to know the documents you’ll need to re-apply for NSFAS? In helping you to provide the correct documents for NSFAS reapplication, we’re going to list all the documents you will need to reapply for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme in this article. Applicants must also take note of the application date. NSFAS online application for the 2023-2024 academic year opened on 28th September 2023 and closed on 21st January 2024. Applicants should be advised that unless they have the documentation listed below, they are ineligible for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

 

This is a Requirement That All Applicants Must Meet.

Before applying, candidates should verify that they match the following minimum entrance standards to avoid being denied by the nsfas board

  • All South African citizens
  • All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  • Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
  • A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  • Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

 

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant who is known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

 

How to Apply for NSFAS Online Application

  1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
  3. Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
  4. Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
  5. Update your personal information
  6. Answer the questions you see on the screen
  7. Upload all the required supporting documents
  8. Finally, you click on ‘submit
