Eligibility Criteria:

• Unemployed individuals who are 18 to 59 years old

• Not receiving any form of income, social grant or UIF payment

• Not receiving any other COVID-19 relief scheme payment

• Must be a South African citizen, permanent resident or a refugee living in South Africa

• Have a valid SA ID or refugee ID

Application Process:

• Initially, applications could only be made online through the SRD (Social Relief of Distress) portal. Applicants needed to provide their personal details, banking information, and proof of unemployment.
