How To Create Mynsfas Account

Register online as a user on myNSFAS or re-register a myNSFAS account

  • Go to www.nsfas.org.za
  • Click on the “myNSFAS” tab
  • Click on “Register
  • Tick the box to allow NSFAS to verify your details
  • Then enter your ID number on the field as it is stated on your South African Identity Document (ID)

All Unisa students may apply online at www.nsfas.org.za if they are interested in applying for NSFAS funding. Before submitting an application for Unisa NSFAS funding, certain requirements must be met. Who Qualifies For Nsfas Application At Unisa

  • All South African citizens

How To Apply For Nsfas Online 2023-2024: Students looking for funding can start the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) application process. Who qualifies To Apply For NSFAS Online Application?

  • All South African citizens
  • All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  • Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
  • A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  • Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

 

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will require more information from you to process your application, so you need to provide the following supporting documents to ensure your application is successful.

  1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant who is known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

 

How to Apply for NSFAS Online Application

  1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
  3. Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
  4. Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
  5. Update your personal information
  6. Answer the questions you see on the screen
  7. Upload all the required supporting documents
  8. Finally, you click on ‘submit

 

How to Check NSFAS Application Status

In order to check NSFAS Application Status, you must follow the simple steps below:

  1. Visit the NSFAS Status website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, log in to myNSFAS account
  3. Enter your User ID
  4. Type in the password you created during the application process.
  5. Click “Track Funding Progress” to check your NSFAS Application Status.

Nsfas Form 2023-2024: The Nsfas Application Form can be downloaded by applicants online at www.nsfas.org.za. As a result, all prospective candidates who wish to submit an application for NSFAS funding must act quickly to prevent late applications. The NSFAS application cycle will run for four months, starting on August 3 and ending on November 30. Applications submitted after the deadline won’t be accepted. To ensure that the information you submit is accurate, make sure you read every section. Please be sure you fill out all sections of the application form and attach any required supporting documents in order for your application to be completed.
