Since all Nsfas-related tasks are completed online, it is advised that all applicants set up a myNsafs account so they can access all Nsfas-related tasks and information. Once you’ve registered with Nsfas, you’ll have access to your login information, passwords, phone numbers, etc, allowing applicants to log in using any device, even smartphones. All applicants are advised to submit their applications during the application period, which will be open from November 7, 2023, through January 21, 2024, for the 2023-2024 academic year.

How To Create NSFAS Account

1. Visit www.nsfas.org.za login.
2. Click the MyNSFAS tab.

How to Create An NSFAS Account On The Website?

• Go to www.nsfas.org.za and select “myNsfas account” from the drop-down menu.
• Finally, type in your login and password.
• Select “My personal information” from the drop-down box.
• Make sure your phone number and email address are up to date.
• To continue, click “Update your details.”
• To the new phone number and email address you supplied, a One-Time Pin (OTP) will be delivered.
• Enter the OTP and click the submit button to submit it.
• As soon as possible, your information will be updated.

If you already have an account, you can sign in with your username and password, as well as your Facebook and Google accounts.

Keep in mind that your phone number and email address must be unique to you and cannot be shared.

My.nsfas.org.za Online Application 2023-2024: National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a bursary scheme funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training for those who do not have the financial means to fund their studies. The NSFAS application will be opening from August 3 through November 30. Application submitted after the closing date will not be considered. Applicants must prepare all relevant supporting documents and apply online by following the simple steps below.

Who qualifies for NSFAS Online Application?

• All South African citizens
• All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
• Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
• A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
• Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
