Why Is MyNSFAS Account Locked?

Your MyNSFAS Account is locked because a wrong username or password was entered three (3) times. When you or somebody enter the wrong login information into your account while trying to log in, your account will be blocked automatically.

What Do I Do If My NSFAS Account Is Locked?

The only option is to unlock it. You cannot log into your account whiles it is locked or blocked unless you successfully unlock or unblock it. You can do so by resetting your password or username. Follow the steps below to reset your Mynsfas login details.

1. Go to www.nsfas.org.za
2. Click on MyNSFAS
3. Click on Forgot Password
4. Type in your ID Number
5. Chose what login detail you want to reset (username or password or both)
6. You’ll receive an SMS and email link to use for your login resetting.
7. Open the link and you’ll be redirected to the password change page
8. Reset your password by following the prompt on your screen.

Kindly follow the steps below to create an account so that you can have access to the portal.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS NEEDED WHEN CREATING MY NSFAS ACCOUNT ON THE PORTAL

1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
8. An applicant who is known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

How To Create NSFAS Account Online

• Look for the tab named MyNSFAS. Click on it.
• Click on Register.
• Tick the box that will allow NSFAS to verify the details you provide.
• Input your ID number as stated on your ID document.
• Input your complete names including your surname as these appear on the ID document you have provided.
• Input your email address.
• Input your email address again to confirm it.
• Input your cellphone number.
• Input your preferred password.
• Input your preferred password again to confirm it.
• Upload a copy of your ID document.
• Click on Register.
• Wait for the OTP on your cellphone and email address. Remember that this OTP will expire after 24 hours so you must use it right away.
• Input the OTP then click on Submit.

After you have followed all of these steps, you should now be all set up. Every time you have to log in, simply input your correct username and password in the appropriate fields.

How to Reset the Password

Nsfas Login Account 2023-2024: Once you’ve registered with Nsfas, you’ll have access to your login information, passwords, phone numbers, etc, allowing applicants to log in using any device, even smartphones. Register online as a user on myNSFAS or re-register a myNSFAS account

• Go to www.nsfas.org.za

• Click on “Register“
