Nsfas Appeal 2023-2024

Nsfas Appeal 2023-2024: The National Student Financial Aid Scheme is open to accept applications for appeals. This means all students who applied for NSFAS funding but whose applications were unsuccessful can appeal to NSFAS. Again, continuing students whose funding was cancelled or revoked can submit their appeal motivational letters for reconsideration of restoring their funding. Appeals for NSFAS 2023 open on 24 January and close on 23 February 2024. It is therefore important to know that, you’ll not see the “Submit Appeal” tap in your MyNSFAS Account until the application for appeal is open.

How To Submit Your NSFAS Appeal

  1. Log into your “MyNSFAS” account on www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Click the ‘Track Funding Progress’ option
  3. Check the application progress tabs
  4. If your application status reflects an unsuccessful message, you may submit an appeal by clicking on the ‘Submit Appeal Tab’
  5. Once you are on the ‘Application Appeal’ page, you can see the reason for your unsuccessful application status
  6. You are then able to choose the appeal reason
  7. Then upload certified supporting documents to support your reason
  8. Then click ‘Submit Appeal’
  9. You may now track the progress of the appeal on your myNSFAS account.

The appeal takes at most 30 days. At times, it might take a shorter time. Nonetheless, NSFAS should not take more than one month to respond to your application.

Do You Need Supporting Documents For NSFAS Appeal?

Yes, all students who will appeal must upload all the supporting documents that NSFAS will require of them. NSFAS will give you 14 days time period to upload all the outstanding documents you’ll be required for your appeal. Your appeal will not be considered for approval if you do not upload all the needed supporting documents.
