Nsfas Application Status Uj 2023-2024: Did you apply for the just-ended University of Johannesburg (UJ) NSFAS Applications? If the answer to this question is yes, you must be concerned about the progress of your application. Each year, the deadline for NSFAS Aid applications is November 30, with results being made available within the first quarter of the following year. Visit or log into your myNSFAS Account with your ID and the password you set during your application to view the status of your NSFAS application. Validation: NSFAS is conducting third-party checks with SASSA and the Department of Home Affairs.
Evaluation: NSFAS is verifying all the documents you have submitted during your application.
Funding Eligibility: NSFAS is verifying your household financial status that was declared in your application.
Awaiting Academic Results/Admission: NSFAS is checking your academic results and your institution’s admission status to ensure that you meet the requirements to be funded by NSFAS. Many find themselves staying on this step for a while. This is because NSFAS has to wait for information from your chosen institution.
Awaiting Registration: NSFAS is receiving data from your institution to enable them to create a bursary agreement. This is another step students find themselves on for a while. This is because NSFAS has to wait for information from your chosen institution.
Signing Of Agreement: At this stage, you need to sign your bursary agreement so that NSFAS can disburse your allowances.
Payments: Your allowances are now being paid either through the NSFAS mobile wallet system or through your institution. Students are advised to continue to monitor the myNSFAS portal for updates.

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

Provide your own cellphone number and email address
You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
An applicant known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

Who Can Apply For the NSFAS Application Online Form?

All South African citizens
All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
