Nsfas Website 2023-2024: NSFAS website is an online platform created by NSFAS. The site makes it easier for you to manage all things related to NSFAS. Nsfas applicants can use MyNsfas external link to log in and access and manage crucial information about the National Student Financial Aid Scheme website.  Before applicants can log in to their account and manage all things, they must first create an account with the NSFAS. How to Create An NSFAS Account On The Website?

  • Go to www.nsfas.org.za and select “myNsfas account” from the drop-down menu.
  • Finally, type in your login and password.
  • Select “My personal information” from the drop-down box.
  • Make sure your phone number and email address are up to date.
  • To continue, click “Update your details.”
  • To the new phone number and email address you supplied, a One-Time Pin (OTP) will be delivered.
  • Enter the OTP and click the submit button to submit it.
  • As soon as possible, your information will be updated.

If you already have an account, you can sign in with your username and password, as well as your Facebook and Google accounts.

Keep in mind that your phone number and email address must be unique to you and cannot be shared.
You can check your application results (nsfas status) by login into your myNSFAS account if you were one of the NSFAS 2024 applicants whose application was unsuccessful and you have filed an appeal.

 

How To Login To NSFAS Account

You will need your MyNSFAS Email and password to check your status online. Now with your internet-connected smartphone or computer, Open your web browser.

  • Step 1: Visit the MyNSFAS student portal via-www nsfas.org.za
  • Step 2: Next, Enter your Email and Password in the field provided.
  • Step 3: Finally, click on the Sign-In button to access your application status

 

How to Update Your MYNSFAS Account Details

  1. Login to nsfas.org.za and select “myNsfas account” from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter your username and password (on the ‘already registered’ tab)
  3. Click ‘sign in’
  4. Select ‘My Personal Details’ and delete the incorrect cell phone number and replace it with the correct one (the same can be done with other incorrect information)
  5. Click ‘update details
  6. A one-time pin (OTP) will be sent to the new cell phone number
  7. You will be asked to enter and submit the OTP on the NSFAS website once it has been sent to you
  8. Once this is done, your details are updated

 

How to Reset the Password on Your MyNsfas Account

  1. Select “forgot your password” from the drop-down menu and input your ID number.
  2. Select whether or not you’ve forgotten your username and password, then click “Submit.”
  3. An OTP will be sent to you via email and SMS.
  4. Enter the OTP that was sent to you and click “Submit.”
  5. After that, you’ll be prompted to create a new password.

 

How to Apply for NSFAS Online Application

  1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
  3. Create a myNSFAS account.
  4. Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
  5. Update your personal information
  6. Answer the questions you see on the screen
  7. Upload all the required supporting documents
  8. Finally, you click on ‘submit

So, in this article, we’re going to show you how you can create an account for your MyNSFAS so that you can have full control, access, and manage your account. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme aims at supporting students with funding. And every South African citizen who is enrolling in higher education is qualified for NSFAS funding. Therefore, all applicants who want to be funded by NSFAS bursary should apply by creating an NSFAS account and login into Mynsfas. Keep in mind that, your phone number and email address must be unique to you and cannot be shared. Now, let’s go straight to the subject and learn how you can create your Nsfas student account.

 

Required Documents Needed When Creating Nsfas Students Account

  1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

 

How To Create Mynsfas Account

Applicants are required to create an NSFAS account before they can apply for funding. Here are the simple steps to follow to create the account.

  • Log onto www.nsfas.org.za
  • Click on ‘register’
  • Complete the required fields (ID number, cellphone number and email address)
  • Upload a copy of your ID or birth certificate. If you are uploading a copy of a Smart-ID, please ensure that both sides are visible on the copy
  1. Type in first names (as per ID number)
  2. Type in Surname (as per ID number)
  3. Type in your ID number (will your username)
  4. Type in your own Email address
  5. Type in your own Cellphone number
  6. Accept terms and conditions Tick the box provided, to allow NSFAS to check the information provided (compulsory)
  7. Create a Password, To (protect your account)

ID numbers, Names and Surnames are validated against the Department of Home Affairs database. Only valid South African ID information will be accepted.

 

How To Log Into Your Nsfas Student Account

  1. Go to www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Click on the MyNSFAS tab at the far top right of the screen
  3. Enter your Username and Password
  4. Click on Enter
  5. You’ll be able to log in to your NSFAS account.

You can only log into your MyNSFAS Account if you enter the correct login credentials, username and password.
