UCT Online Registration 2023-2024: UCT online registration is open. Prospective applicants for both undergraduate and postgraduate can register for study admission at the UCT. Applicants can apply for study admission for the many qualifications and courses offered at the university. Now, let’s see some of the requirements for your application.
UCT Online registration process
Every Online registration has a process for Prospective students to follow in registering during its registration date. Students must register on time to avoid late registration.
Online Registration date for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate.

29 January 2023 | Residences are open for all new students. |
31 January 2023 | Science Faculty orientation and registration commences |
2 February 2023 | Compulsory orientation activities & registration for all new students |
14 February 2023 | First day of lectures |

Who should register and when?
All returning postgraduates and the majority of postgraduates must register at the start of the year. At any time of the year, only new PhD students and research master’s students (dissertation only) may register.

New master’s and doctoral students
If you are registering for a thesis you will be asked to bring a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU is an agreement that is established between you and your supervisor and it sets the stage for the year ahead.
- If you are registering for the first time with a confirmed research topic and supervisor, you should complete the online Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) via the PeopleSoft Student Administration System.
- If you are registering for the first time and have not yet finalized your research topic, you should complete the online Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) via the PeopleSoft Student Administration System.

Please note that, once your online Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been granted, you will be required to complete your online registration via the PeopleSoft Student Administration System
