University Of Johannesburg Nsfas Online Application 2023-2024: Students hoping to attend Wits or are currently enrolled at the University Of Johannesburg may be wondering if NSFAS funds the university courses. Here is what they need to know. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a bursary funded by the government available to students who require financial assistance to further their tertiary education. NSFAS covers courses available at TVET Colleges or public universities. The University Of Johannesburg is a public university and therefore, its students are funded by NSFAS. The application will be open from November 7, 2023, through January 21, 2024. Who Qualifies for University Of Johannesburg Nsfas Online Application 2023-2024?

  • All South African citizens
  • All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  • Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
  • A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  • Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

 

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

  1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
  3. Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
  4. Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
  5. Update your personal information
  6. Answer the questions you see on the screen
  7. Upload all the required supporting documents
  8. Finally, you click on ‘submit

 

How to Check NSFAS Application Status

In order to check NSFAS Application Status, you must follow the simple steps below:

  1. Visit the NSFAS Status website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, log in to your MyNSFAS account
  3. Enter your User ID
  4. Type in the password you created during the application process.
  5. Click “Track Funding Progress” to check your NSFAS Application Status.
