Nsfas Allowance Payment Dates 2023-2024

Every year after funding has been approved for students, nsfas begins to disburse students’ allowances to the wallet. The NSFAS allowance is processed and credited to the student’s wallet within the first 10 days of each month. It is important to note that not all students will get the allowance at the same time.

Also, when you’re approved to receive the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) funding as a TVET College student, NSFAS covers your registration fees and tuition fees. The registration fees and tuition fees are defined by your institution per the academic semester or year.

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

However, you’ll lose your NSFAS funding if you fail to meet the academic performance requirements.

  1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant who is known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

  1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
  3. Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
  4. Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
  5. Update your personal information
  6. Answer the questions you see on the screen
  7. Upload all the required supporting documents
  8. Finally, you click on ‘submit
