Nsfas Application Form For Accommodation 2023-2024: The NSFAS student accommodation portal is ready for accommodation providers to register and load their accommodation to be considered for NSFAS beneficiaries. Once signed in, accommodation providers will be able to list their properties by providing their property names, location and images. NSFAS will then contact them and send a panel of experts to accredit and grade the properties to ensure that they are suitable for student living. All accommodation providers who would like to list their properties for NSFAS beneficiaries may click on the button below.
- You must be a South African citizen
- Have been accepted for an undergraduate qualification for the first time
- Be able to prove an annual household income of no more than R350,000.
Documents Required By NSFAS For Accommodation
Before attempting to submit an application for funding, make sure you have certified and genuine copies of the following documents:
- Your South African identity card or birth certificate in its entirety (if you are younger than 16 years old).
- The ID of the guardian or parents (or death certificate where applicable)
- Pay to advise, employment letters, and pension advice that detail income (SASSA slips are not required and SASSA should not be included as household income).
- a consent form that has been filled out and signed by your parent or legal guardian, which you may get here. Applications won’t be approved and will be deemed incomplete if they don’t include a consent form signed by everyone whose income was disclosed in the application.
- Please download the Handicap Annexure A from www.nsfas.org.za, fill it out, and include it with your application if you have a disability.
How Do I Submit Accommodation Requests to NSFAS?
To discover housing that is NSFAS accredited, you should start by contacting universities, colleges, and TVET facilities. Off-campus student housing that satisfies accreditation requirements has been accredited by these universities. Off-campus dorms and residences approved by the university automatically earn NSFAS accreditation.
