Nsfas Online Application At Unisa 2023-2024: Online applications for NSFAS funding are available to all Unisa students. NSFAS applications are officially open for applicants to apply so that they can receive financial support to further their education. NSFAS applications for the 202-2024 academic year will be accepted from September 1 to November 30, 2023. Applicants must make sure they the application requirements before applying for Unisa NSFAS funding. Please adhere to the instructions below to apply for Nsfas at Unisa.

 

Requirements For The Nsfas Online Application At Unisa

  1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant who is known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

 

How To Apply For Nsfas At Unisa

If you would like to apply for NSFAS online, follow the steps below:

  1.  Visit the NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za online
  2. Then, you have to click on the “myNSFAS” tab
  3. After that, you create your myNSFAS account
  4. After creating myNSFAS account, you then have to click on the “Apply” tab
  5. Answer the following questions you see on your screen
  6. Update all your personal information
  7. Upload all the required supporting documents
  8. Lastly, Click on “Submit” to send your application for review.

 

Who Qualifies For Nsfas Online Application Unisa

  • All South African citizens
  • All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  • Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
  • A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  • Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

 

Your NSFAS application at Unisa will not be considered if you

  • already had NSFAS funding in 2020.
  • have already completed an undergraduate degree/diploma.
  • are not South African citizens.
  • need funding for a short learning certificate or program.
  • need funding for a postgraduate qualification, with an exception of the following qualifications:
    • BTech – Architecture / Architectural Technology
    • BTech – Engineering (all disciplines), Cartography, Forestry
    • BTech – Biokinetics, Biomedical Technology, Biotechnology
    • BTech – Chiropractic, Homoeopathy, all Nursing
    • BTech – Clinical or Dental Technology, Emergency Medical Care
    • Postgraduate Certificate in Education
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting
    • LLB
