Dates for the December 2023 SASSA payments have just been made public. Discover the availability dates for each social award by reading on.

The payment dates for December 2023 have been made public by the South African Social Security Agency. This applies to all funds—disability grants, grants for seniors, and other grants.

To comply with social distancing measures implemented to prevent the spread of Covid-19, SASSA has allocated different payment dates for different categories of grants.

These times were selected to prevent long lines at SASSA offices, banks, ATMs, and post offices.

The following dates for social grant payments are listed in the SASSA schedule for December 2024:

Senior grants will start to be paid on December 1, 2023. Any grants connected to these accounts are also included.

On December 2, 2023, disability benefits will start to be paid. Any grants connected to these accounts are also included.

The payment of all additional grants will start on December 3, 2023. These include funds for kids, funding for foster care, and grants for those who need care.

The payment date for the SRD prize is not fixed, but if you choose to collect it at a post office, it may not be paid out on the scheduled dates. Your specific collection day at the post office is determined by the last three digits of your ID number. The Post Office has not yet announced the SASSA award payment schedule for December, but you can check the dates for November SRD award payments by clicking a certain link. If you are a recipient of the R350 grant and receive your SASSA grant payments through the Post Office, Boxer store, or PicknPay store, you should wait for an SMS notification before going to collect your grant.
