My Nsfas Unisa 2023-2024: Are you a Unisa student in need of financial assistance to study at your tertiary institution? Then apply for a National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) bursary. NSFAS is to help those who do not have the financial means to fund their studies. NSFAS application cycle will last four months, from August 3 through November 30. Required Documents For Filling NSFAS Online Application

1. A cell phone number
2. An email address
3. Certified copies of your Identification Documents (ID)
4. You should have applied for a public institution and waiting for admission acceptance
5. Certified or official copy of recent payslip, employment letter, not older than three months
6. Prove household income (this includes SASSA grants, Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), or retirement, disability, or other financial benefits you get.)
7. Copy of parents/guardian/spouse/ Identification documents (if applicable)
8. If you’re disability, you’ll complete a disability Annexure A and B and submit them

1. Go to www.nsfas.org.za
2. Create a MyNSFAS Account
3. Login into your Account
4. Click on the Apply
5. Complete the forms by filling in all the sections
6. Click submit to send your application for review and possible approval

NSFAS provides funding to Unisa students. Any Unisa students who want to apply for Nsfas bursaries can do so online at the organization’s website (www.nsfas.org.za). The NSFAS application cycle will run for four months starting on August 3 and ending on November 30. Applications submitted after the deadline won’t be considered. To be eligible for the NSFAS funding, interested applicants must fulfil all application requirements. Follow the steps to apply on time.

Your NSFAS application at Unisa will not be considered if you

• already had NSFAS funding in 2022.
• have already completed an undergraduate degree/diploma.
• are not South African citizens.
• need funding for a short learning certificate or program.
• need funding for a postgraduate qualification, with an exception of the following qualifications:
  • BTech – Architecture / Architectural Technology
  • BTech – Engineering (all disciplines), Cartography, Forestry
  • BTech – Biokinetics, Biomedical Technology, Biotechnology
  • BTech – Chiropractic, Homoeopathy, all Nursing
  • BTech – Clinical or Dental Technology, Emergency Medical Care
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting
